Accessibility

Accessibility at bloop

We are committed to making bloop accessible and usable for as many people as possible. We aim to follow recognised accessibility standards and continuously improve the experience for all users.

Our approach

bloop is designed in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, which are widely recognised as the standard for accessible web applications.

We consider accessibility as part of our design and development process and aim to ensure that core workflows are usable with assistive technologies and alternative input methods.

Accessibility features

Keyboard accessibility

  • Core functionality can be accessed using a keyboard.
  • Users can navigate through the interface using standard keyboard controls.
  • Focus order is logical and visible.

Screen reader support

  • Interface elements use semantic structure and accessible labels.
  • Key information is programmatically available to assistive technologies.

Text and layout

  • Text can be resized using browser settings without loss of functionality.
  • The interface is responsive and adapts to different screen sizes.

Colour and contrast

  • We aim to ensure sufficient contrast between text and background.
  • Information is not conveyed by colour alone.

Forms and inputs

  • Form fields include labels and instructions.
  • Errors are clearly identified and described.

Multimedia

  • Video tutorials include captions.
  • Downloadable transcripts (VTT files) are provided.
  • This supports users who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who prefer text-based content.

Known limitations

We are aware that some areas of the platform may not fully meet accessibility standards yet, for example:

  • Some interface elements may have minor contrast inconsistencies.
  • Some dynamic updates may not always be announced to assistive technologies.

We are actively working to improve these areas.

Third-party and user-generated content

Some content within bloop may be:

  • provided by third-party integrations, or
  • uploaded or generated by users.

We cannot guarantee the accessibility of this content, but we encourage accessible practices wherever possible.

Feedback and support

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of bloop.

Ongoing improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We regularly review and improve bloop to enhance usability and accessibility for all users.
